Third Monoprints

While I was quite happy with the additions I made last week with the red ink, I still felt I wanted to add something that would tie everything together, all fill in some areas that were relatively blank. Thus, this week I added additions in a deep navy blue.

Rather than printing using the stencils to keep negative space/keep ink off the prints, I instead used them more so as stamps. As such I rolled up a plate fully, applied the stencils haphazardly (image 6) and then printed them on newsprint. I then used these inked up stencils as stamps to apply to my prints from the previous weeks.
