Conceptualising Place

In order to create my monoprints, I first needed to grasp how I would conceptualise the theme of place in relation to myself. I did this through working through several different sets of ideas, that I have also spread across my work in drypoint etching and lithography.
These ideas were:
- place as a physical location
- the body as a place
- place through the realm of nature
firstly i decided to focus on nature, gathering photos from the local park and trips to various places which held nature at the centre. I also began to sketch the plants in my room.
